A Full Health Check-Up for your Pet
When you bring your pet in for a checkup, we perform a thorough examination of every system in the body. When our doctors conduct a physical exam, we will evaluate:
- Skeletal and muscular health (especially checking for healthy muscles and any joint pain)
- Neurological health
- Weight
- Lymph nodes (swollen lymph nodes can signify an infection, wound, virus or other illness)
- Vital signs
- Skin and coat (especially looking for growths, infections, or wounds)
In addition to a careful medical history review, we ask questions about your pet’s activities and habits, for a better picture of your friend’s overall health. We also offer nutritional counseling as needed, based on our examination. If the checkup reveals any potential health problems, we may recommend blood work, X-rays, or other diagnostic testing, as well as treatment for any health issues your pet may have.
